Birthday Celebration

It was a full day of puppies, chihuahua's and more puppies- bring on the birthday cake!!!
Beverly with "Blondy's Chihuahua's" may be one of the greatest breeders of chi's. Not only does she love everyone of her past, present and future dogs but she celebrates them with love and care. She held a party for our litter of mo, marley and molly. Birthday cake, balloons, and treats. I believe at one point there were 20 dogs running around at the party... (including 10 little puppies some still available) check out the photo, I have so many it's hard to pick!

pre-spring

So tired and not even in the thick of it...
Pre-spring /resort is in official works. Too bad I can't get the phone to hear me too- I hardly got anything done with all the calls and other office details!
It's going to be a fantastic season. The colors are bright the detail are edgy... I'm very excited-
sorry I won't let the secret out yet but will post as soon as they are finish
(the shoot will be in June)

rainy day new york

I don't want to talk about fashion... as of now I am doing Pre-Spring and it's hard enough to "think spring" when it's 45 and rainy but it's even harder to talk about it...
So I want to talk abut Mo... the cute part of this blog. Weighing in at 4.5lbs, the most amazing chihuahua energy in the world, and ears to die for! Over a year ago I lost my first beloved Chihuahua "Bear" to penny ingestion. It was a terrible blow to me- he was my pride and joy and my best buddy... he was the only guy supporting my move to New York (that we did alone two years ago). I waited a year to fully heal my heart and with enough looking I found a set of eyes that I knew had to be mine. When I found out that the breader was calling him "MO" because he was concieved in Missouri- where I was... I told her the name stays and it was a match made in heaven ever since.
He's now my "Mo Mo" and fashionable as any beautiful puppy can be... check out his first (and unplanned) photo shoot
for Peter Soronen Spring 2007...

Hilary Swank In Peter Soronen

It's amazing that you can work hard on something- pull it together and then see someone wear it and the crowd goes crazy. Hilary Swank showed up every where in this dress... I just found out it is in WWD. It's like a dream come true to work here. We rule :)

first the fashion introduction

Our first fashion show... it absorbed my life and I thought itwould be a great intro to me!

NEW YORK, February 5, 2007 – People who scope out the red carpet with the intensity of a Red Sox fanatic at Fenway Park will recognize Peter Soronen's name. Reese Witherspoon and Sarah Jessica Parker have been "papped" in his dresses. An expert corsetiere, Soronen started selling his pieces at Barneys six years ago. "Peter's work appeals to a very discerning customer, someone who can have anything she wants," commented Julie Gilhart, the store's fashion director. Now, for the first time, Soronen has made the jump to the runway—and his debut, while hardly flawless, served to give a wider audience a good idea of what this designer's all about.

A ribbon-laced corset made of sheets of copper was mainly a showpiece (or a fetishist's special order), but a cream satin flute-back gown with jet embroidery was not unworthy of Audrey Hepburn as Sabrina. An asymmetrical scarlet satin gown had Dita Von Teese's name written all over it; yes, Soronen's aesthetic tends toward the forties. Anomalous, but beautiful, was a chiffon gown printed with forest-floor flora: While corseted, it emphasized flou over form. A bit of Soronen trivia for those obsessive fans out there: He has fashioned Napoleon and harlequin stage costumes for Fischerspooner, the electroclash duo that did his runway music.
